The dar-news mailing-list informs about major events about dar/libdar software (new releases, security issues, and so on). It is a read-only mailing-lis with a very low email volume of messages (in average, less than one per month, no promotional nor informationless messages).
The dar-support mailing-list has a higher activity and is friendly interactive. You might well be interested in subscribing in order to see concrete use case and if you can and want to, help others based on your own experience with dar.
